I tried Windows' self tune stacking RWIN at 17520. That sure didn't work for me and made my connection slow and laggy. I decided to give TCP Optimizer a try after reading the reviews on Cnet. After I reboot the PC, my connection got faster and faster. Before I did the tweaks I got 2.2Mbps down and ...

Cablenut settings that works for me
I was messing around with my cablenut settings. I am running Windows XP SP2, but the original settings that Mnosteele52 and Mccoffee gave me a high rwin at 512000. It's not their fault so I'm not going to blame them, though. I read when you upgrade to SP2, the upgraded TCP/IP stack or AFD reads your ...

Happy with 4Mbps down and 512Kbps up!
I already got upgraded to 4000/512 in Topeka, Kansas, and I'm getting anywhere from 3.9-4.8Mbps down and 504-506Kbps up after downloading TCPOptimizer and using 256960 as my TcpReceieveWindow and rebooting the computer. I did tried 64240 and it still won't work for me. The tweaking forum at DSLR ...

Need help tweaking 128Kbps cable connection
Good evening, everyone! I have downgrade from 3000/256 to 128/128 because 128Kbps cable is a lot more cheaper from Cox than their 3Mbps service if you're on a budget. Well, I need help tweaking my registry for 128Kbps cable. I'm using a Terayon TJ715x hooked up by Ethernet. The ethernet drivers is ...

Help! My UL speed is slow
I use Cablenut to tweak my Cox HSI connection but when I use 32768 which is the DefaultSendWindow that you're supposed to use for a 256Kbps upload cap, my speeds goes down to 230-240Kbps up. But when I use 16384, my UL speed shots up to 245-250Kbps up. Can someone please tell me what is going on? Is ...

You're lucky to get 9Mbps for $45 per month, Lee_Nover. You only need perfect signal levels, no viruses and spam on your computer? I'm moving to Canada to get this! Just call SBC and see if they can uncap your line to 1.5Mbps down. Or see if your line can support 1.5Mbps. If your line can't support 1.5Mbps or you're too far from the CO, you're going to be stuck with 384/256. I know SBC sucks but you have to keep calling them until you find the right person that ...

hightower, it's not TCP Optimizer causing your lag or hosting problems with your xbox/xbconnect. Lag is usually caused by your ISP, the Internet, servers, routers, backbone providers(which your ISP has a contract with), your wiring, if your router's firmware is upgraded. If not, sometime upgraded ...

Fallen on hard times
Hi, this is TeenInternetAddict, I have fallen on hard times. I need to borrow $50,000 because I have $50,000 worth of bills to pay. I can't go to a lender since the lender want their money back, and you need a job for that. I was thinking all last night and today, what if I ask on the Net if people ...
