It's all about budget ofcourse .......

I'd recommend an E8400 for Cpu , an Nvidia 8800 GT or a Ati 3870 for graphics.
Both real good cards in middle price range.

And 32 bit Vista or XP , running Xp myself because it gives you less trouble with games ,but that's just personal ...

I finally found the answer to this .
Was told to me by a game engine ,connection expert .

It's the netcode for COD /UO wich is the culpritt ,atleast it is for low ping and stable connection players.
Turns out the netcode for COD /UO is setup for high ping /unstable connection players.
So ...

I have read several posts that seem to suggest that quite possibly a 3mgb/sec dsl is better for gaming than an 8mgb/sec cable...

is that possible...?

I happen to agree with this statement ,atleast that is my experience too.
But i have to admitt i'm a total nitwit on connections and can't tell ...

You could try this:

Go to control panel > sound and audio devices > speaker settings > advanced.
Performance > put your hardware acceleration to the first step next to none.
So the second one from the left.
Klik apply .

Now start your game again ,and see if it's better.
Just a hunch , but i've ...
