LMFAO, I love how excited everyone is on that forum, surprised people still sit around waiting for that thing.

I also love the "Crysis aint got this!" comment when the game trailer isnt even out yet. What does he mean, crysis doesnt have that much wasted time? Or maybe that poor of a development staff? :p

List the fun little surprises/spoofs you remember from Duke Nukem 3D.....I loved the little things you found in the game...social satire and little jokes...

*OJ Simpson white bronco chase on the TV up above the bar
*867-5309 written on the wall above the urinal in the same bar (Tommy and the TuTones song from the 80's)
*Starship Enterprise Bridge if you found a hidden room behind something...I forget where
*Doom space marine slumped over dead in a room in some chapel or something like that
*Pigs for cops
*Duke claims "I ain't afraid of no Quake" after a building blows up
*The sub from "Hunt for Red October"

It's going to take a hell of a lot more than ripping off Ash's one-liners and some awfully forced machismo smoke blowing into the camera to make Duke anything but the butt of everyone's jokes.

I'm interested in the title, but I'm not holding my breath for any release dates.

Looks like we may indeed see it by the end of this year.

3D Realms' Scott Miller just jinxed any hope of Duke Nukem Forever being released in 2008:

Garland-based video games developer 3D Realms has confirmed Duke Nukem Forever, the highly anticipated sequel to its revolutionary 1996 PC game Duke Nukem 3D, is headed for retail release in late 2008, and will be coming to Microsoft's Xbox 360 and Sony's PlayStation 3 home video game consoles, as well as the PC.

"We haven't formally announced any platforms for DNF," wrote 3D Realms President Scott Miller in an e-mail exchange. "But, of course hitting the big three makes the most sense (PC, PS3, 360)."

Miller added a note of caution on the 12-years-coming sequel and its release window, claiming, "we may miss the mark by a month or two, but I feel very confident that we're on target this time."

Well I got this from Xbox 360 Fanboy and no, I'm not a fanboy. I just go to different sites to get news about different games for different consoles, I even go to PS3 Fan boy and Nintendo Wii Fanboy. =P I just don't seem to have a computer good enough for gaming and I doubt I ever will so I just go spend my money on consoles.

Update: 3D Realms has informed Shacknews that the release date and platform availability for Duke Nukem Forever were not confirmed in the Dallas Business Journal interview, though the company apparently did not deny the information regarding the XBLA release of Duke Nukem 3D.

Update 2: The original interview in the Dallas Business Journal has been edited with many corrections regarding all things Duke. Primarily it now reads Duke Nukem Forever is internally projected for a 2008 release by 3D Realms and will likely come to the Xbox 360, PS3 and the PC. Basically, we're back to square one.

It'll still be half assed and poor graphics when it gets its day.

They've been doing that for the last 10 years...

Frontlines sucks.. the player count online is even worse than Crysis I'm afraid. But I'm willing to say once its done that the graphics will be awesome along with a finished game altogether! :thumb:

Well unless those shots they have up are of lesser quality then they are using for the actual game you may be disapointed on the graphics end, cuz fairly crappy compared to the modern games coming out.
