Cable Modem Goes out of Sync
MY Cable connections out of Sync and want to know if any of the splitters in the apt can cause this by having a split wire at the end of it. IS this possible? Please post as many things you think would cause this problem with Cable. Thank You

Modem Questions..
I hear that a modem next to electrical objects can affect its performance. If this is true my Modem is right next to my power surge as in 10 centemeters away from each other. Should I move it to a new location?

My connection will die out for about 10 seconds every 10-15 Minutes. My ISP's Tech guy came to my house to check it out and he said this was being caused by a messed up wire in the cable connecting to the modem ...

My problem is that my connection will stop getting sent data after a short period of time. Since I play online games I will disconnect after 5-10 mins of gameplay each time I log on to game. I dont really know what to do about it.
