I managed to find an option in the bios to tweak the multiplier settings, and I set it to 12.0x/12.5x but when I run wcpuid it still says the cpu is running at 11.5x166Mhz what seems to be the problem?

Ok, it says AMD Athlon XP 2600+
internal clock: 1918.27Mhz
system clock: 166.81Mhz
system bus: 333.61Mhz
multiplier: 11.5

Everything seems correct except the multiplier?

I don't think its unlocked, to do so you have to cut something on the cpu right? Anyways I will give WCPUID a try and see what happens. Thanks for the help.

Problem with MSI KT6V-LSR and XP2600+

Hi there, I recently acquired an MSI KT6V-LSR with an Athlon XP 2600+ CPU. Upon booting up, the default cpu frequency was set to 100Mhz and the CPU was running at 1180Mhz. I adjusted it to 166Mhz and the display shows XP2600+ @ 1.93Ghz when it should be 2.133Ghz? Any help will be greatly appreciated ...

I don't have windows98, only have 2k and XP :(

And I downloaded Autorun creator, it created an autorun file titled

[autorun]
open = contents.html
icon =

but it still doesn't work, sigh.
Could be problem lie with the contents.html itself?

Hmmm still can't work, I tried
[autorun]OPEN="start contents.html"

and

[autorun]
open=start contents.htm

it gives me an access to the specified device, path or file is denied. I'm sure the contents.html in autorun and the contents.html in my harddisk are the same, what could be the problem?

Sorry for the late reply, was real busy with school and stuff.
Anyway, the content was something like this:

[autorun]
open=start.exe page1.html

I din know what to put for the folder name so I tried different options, none of them worked.

I would change it immediately if I were you, another thing: don't ever get cheap PSUs, they die really fast and when they do they like to take your PC with it. Had a pIII-700mhz once, cost me like $3800 so I stinged on the PSU, within a year it died and took my harddisk, mobo and cdrom with it :(

My old gf pro gave me 2200 pts on 3dmark, and the new gf2 mx gave me 1400 pts LOL
