it's nice to know that I'm not the only one seeing this, the odd part is how different some of the experiences listed are.

it was a quick spike, got a bunch of them all at once, haven't seen any since

the mouse cursor appears and nothing else (blank screen with a cursor that moves)
no other options, ctrl-alt-del doesn't work

safe mode, last known good, system restore ...

no upgrade paths, especially for critical components.

I would look at memory upgrades only, it's guaranteed that the laptop mobo has a proprietary port for a special graphics card

If we ever get to the point where we teach every religion's basics in schools, one thing becomes very obvious: religion is our way of dealing with the incalculable, namely death.

death has no bearing on the day-to-day runnings of government.

you sound surprised, the engineers who designed the larger cars (cadillac, some gm and ford models[especially in the 70's]) made up for size by adding maneuverability and speed.

I just dealt with an upgrade to A64

all that's really needed is the repair option in windows setup and a product key, you don't need to do a complete reinstall.

note: you'll need to reupdate windows after doing this

Heat issues

the last week has been about 90 degrees here, and I've been having trouble with my main computer overheating...not bad, just bad enough that I had to shut it down last night to keep from burning up anything of importance. looks like I'm going to need a better cooling system before summer actually ...
