verclsid.exe

Post by striker8000 »

anyone else run into this thing, it appears to be part of the last set of updates for windows

it also appears to have a bug that makes windows virtually unusable while it is running

just a heads up

It is a MS screw up. Easy to resolve until they put out a patch to fix.

Go into C: then open windows folder. Open System32 look for veclsid rename it veclsid.old

Simple as that. Good luck.

Judging from the replies and links, the OP must have done a typo and meant Verclsid.exe. He made the thread back in 2006 and the issue was resolved by a fixed update from Microsoft.
