Don't laugh, it's a dell e1705. Can't beat the deal I found on this.

Technically, it's for wifey, but I wanted something I could use too.

Sad thing is I built this machine to get better FPS in BF2, which it does pretty well. Game got stale though.

Our kiddos still dominate our time, it's taken over 2 months to hit lvl 37. A buddy has already hit 60 in that amt of time

I'm just trying to define a possible upgrade path. My 7800 is doing fine for the
time being and I've had it too long to qualify for the program anyway.

Did I read up there that DX10 is vista only? Bummer if so.

I've got a 3500+ 939 based system which the upgrade path just became rather
limited ...

Well, all I can say is wow.

BF2 is as smooth as butter on high settings. It's like a new game. So smooth now.

AquaMark score is 71k.(I think this is good, no?)

Could be a bad cap on your vid card not holding charge.

ie. System has been powered down long enough for the cap to lose charge.

You power system up and there's no monitor.

You scratch your head...cuss a little... :irate: (all while cap is getting juice and charging)

You hit reset and viola ...
