Well I got my issue fixed. Turns out it was my modem it was only built for a max speed of 10. So I bought a new one now I get my full listed speed.

This confirm that the speed limit of 10 mbps starts at the modem.

If this modem issued by your ISP?

Try turning off power to the modem for 10 mins to let it reset and receive any configuration files sent out by your ISP through the line.

My router is a Netgear WGR614v4 wireless but it is hardwired to my pc with a cat cable. As to this part -->
Did you set it to bridge mode or set your comp into DMZ?
I have no clue.

Ok I did all that you asked. With the exception of roboform. Since roboform is not spyware or malware of any kind it stays. Plus the fact that I go to so many sites with passwords that i would be very screwed without it. Anyhow here is my new tcp/ip settings.

My modem and router are fine not to close nothing coiled kinked or anything else. But I still need the correct settings. Maybe the TCPOptimizer program just wont cut it with settings that high for my speed. How about cablenut???

Ok folks I was a proud supporter of AVG untill I discovered that I had 499 instances of the w32.spybot.worm On my desktop that AVG had missed. I am now back to useing norton and virus free.

Do you happen to have Xp with the sp2 update? And did you download the update called GDI. If so get rid of it if possible. That update will cause those kind of problems.
