If you want to encrypt more than data files, you need a whole-disk encryption utility that will secure the entire operating system partition and all applications and log files residing on it.
Here's a short list of fairly reputable software that's aimed at corporate/enterprise users:
Eracom ProtectDrive
PC Guardian Encryption Plus Hard Disk
PGP Desktop Professional/PGP Whole Disk
Pointsec PC
Safeboot Device Encryption
Safeboot Solo (defunct)
Securstar DriveCrypt Plus Pack
Utimaco SafeGuard Easy
Winmagic SecureDoc
All use standard encryption algorithms like AES, however I think only PGP releases its source code for peer review. Whole disk encryption has been around for a few years now, so all these apps should be stable.
As with all encryption products, make sure you backup frequently! Even if these apps say you can decrypt your C: drive in emergencies, don't count on it if Windows won't load at all. Try to store all your data and documents on a separate partition (non-OS) encrypted by TrueCrypt. That way if you lose your Windows partition, at least you still have the others.

I've had personal experience with PC Guardian's EPHD and I would not reccommend it. We deployed it to roughly 1500 laptops in our enterprise and we've had a number of problems with it.
First off it replaces Microsoft's gina.dll file with it's own, which causes a number of problems in and of itself. You may be required to re-install drivers and or applications that use this file. In some cases the laptops were no longer able to do LEAP because the driver thought the gina was corrupt.
We use credant's CMG for PDA's and Mobile Phones to encrypt and it is a far sight better application on both the front end and back end. I believe they now have a desktop solution as well and I wish we'd used that instead.
