I have had good experience with zonet 4 port switch that I bought from newegg. I had it for about a year without any problems. There's also no degradation in video quality while playing video games. I'd recommend it.

for the AMD athlon motherboard a 168pin DIMM is usually PC100-150 (only for desktop)

184pin is DDR only for the desktop

laptops can have DDR SDRAM but they have more pins

I've been running raid for quite a while now, and a question popped into my head.

I've never had this problem before. I'm getting prepared just incase ;)

How do I monitor the integrity of the mirrored drives?

How would I know which drive is about to fail or on the verge of failing?

is that what you mean? run it independantly from the case power switch?

use a paper clip connect (short) one end of the paper clip to any of the black wires (ground) and the other end of the paper clip to the green wire, that's how I did a couple of years ago if my memory serves me correctly...

I haven't had any problems with it yet, configured it once and a couple of months later it hasn't even rebooted. Range is good. Thoughput is good as well (able to achieve up to 100Mbp if WAP is enabled). Just waiting for USR to release WPA ...
