The turbo button is useless on that machine.

It's something from Pre Pentium days. Like 80486's 80386's ect.

Puts the computer into a sort of compatibility mode with the turbo off. Slows the CPU down. Useful for certain DOS apps.
Respect it.

It probably won't live long anyway, so use it for testing.
Throw viruses at it, and then practice cleaning them, from Dos, or whatever..

Try free software on it, and see if they turn out to be spyware.
etc etc etc.

Or use it without an HD, router on a floppy. (Small Linux firewall)

Lots of things you could do with it. Just cause it's older and slower is not a problem, they were all like that a few years ago.

Hey, don't laugh. At one time, pre-pentium cpus were considered state-of-the-art. Don't ask how much I paid for my 486DX2 66mhz cpu when it was new. :p

How much? :)

I don't think I went that far back. :) But I do remember the days of my Pentium-S 90 MHz. I still have it. I played Starcraft, Diablo I, Warcraft I, Warcraft II on it. Good times... I think it costed around 4k if not more.
You played the Song of Storms!

Won't work...folding isn't multi-threaded so you can't run folding on a cluster by splitting up work load... you can have each CPU running 1 insance but with a Pentium it'll take you...forever.

Throw a pair of NICs in it and load up linux and use it as a router.
Or a boat anchor,
MP3 player would be my choice though.
Customize the case with black paint job, dress it up for component rack, hook up to stereo and pump out the mps inot the house.
