Using a two year old wireless card with drivers updated March 2010.

Seem to have improved speeds a little, but still get a lot a variability.

Went to j79zlr's cablenut calculator, Entered my MTU, down/up speeds, and let it calculate and setup parameters.

About 90% of your rated speed is the best you can do. Have Qwest 1.5 Mbps service, after Optimizing went from 1210 Mbp or less to 1340 Mbps on three older computers, ME, 98SE, and an XP. Optimizer doesn't work with Vista because of Autotuning, but using the tweaks here I added about 30 Kbps to my ...

I would definitely give ATT a call. With a 6.0 Mbps connection you should be getting at least minimum of 4.0 Mbps. Even their test shows you are only getting about 15% of what they are charging you for.

trogers or rollingstone could probably explain this better, but you seem to be confusing bites and Bytes from different types of tests.

Speedtests are measured in kbps - kilobites per second

Information transfer rates are measured in KBps - KiloBytes per second.

544 kbps = 68 KBps
