Is my DSL speed slow? Can someone check my results?

Post by PDubs »

I was about to do battle with ATT complaining that I'm not getting their "ELITE" speed but was hoping someone could validate my results to see if I am, in fact, getting their advertised speed:

Advertised speed
Downstream Speed: Up to 6.0 Mbps
Upstream Speed: Up to 768 Kbps

Thanks for the tips, seems I have similar results. I made the changes earlier today but wanted to wait until tonight to try and generate data points closer to last test. Following the changes, I rebooted the DSL modem, router, and hard-wired system (XP MCE SP2):

I would definitely give ATT a call. With a 6.0 Mbps connection you should be getting at least minimum of 4.0 Mbps. Even their test shows you are only getting about 15% of what they are charging you for.

Run TCP Settings I gave again, TCP Window should be 127776.
