I do not think the OP is fair. I like sex, but the best sex I ever had was with my wife, although technically some women were more advanced, so to speak. So, I wouldn’t like my abstract wife to sleep around, in other words, rent out her organs, which I would consider “mine”. Even if she swears that ...

Jay, I basically agree with Tony: the laws are made as we go. Adultery is illegal in MA since the 18th century. The law has not been enforced. Alcohol is legal now, but it was not seventy years ago. It is not legal in many countries now. War crimes became crimes after the victors said so. Bribes are ...

Thank you, Smaier.
1) Display. Yours looks not much better. I have 1280x1024 and read everything on the screen, but even with the Magnifier I can't read everything in there. I do not understand why they didn't make it plain B&W.

Smaier, in my PC, AnalodxSNL does not show anything. I mean, it shows something as thin green characters on the black backgrond. With Windows magnigier (2x), I can read some, but do not understand them, anyway. For instance, who are incoming Totals? Is it my download speed? Or something else? TIA ...

Tx, guys. Just did it. Now, on the right it says: DefaltRcvWindow "256960"
It shows " ", although I never typed it. I guess, the Registery knows what it is doing. I will restart soon. If my speeds will go down, I'll try two other magic numbers, 327040 and 373760. If nothig works, I will delete the ...

Changing the RWIN babY! in this BB, today.
Brent, there is my post about RWIN there.
My question: I used W98/Me tweak from http://www.speedguide.net/Cable_modems/cable_patches.shtml. Do I have to do anything else in the Registry, including RWIN?

Quickfoot, I'm just curious: "Believe it or not but Word Perfect is still the most popular processor in law offices because Microsoft doesn't adhere to standards that the law community is required to." On RR: ~700kbps. Sometimes it shoots to a 1000kbps, sometimes it drops to 300kbps. The actual surfing varies regardless. On afternoons the pages load slower than on weekends or evenings/nights/mornings. The speeds, as they are measured by websites or by NSL or BBW, could be higher or lower. Does it ...

Mike, the thing is real, WMe changes some SW setting. So the cable guys are right. You may tell them though, that it does not change the fact: you cannot use their cable and want to cancel it. These guys usually know how to lay the cable and how to unwrap the modem and connect it. But if you tell ...

M$ Office or M$ Works?
I use M$ Office97. It does everything I want. Should I replace it with M$Works4.5, which I have?
If I do so, I will have to learn a new system, etc. Will I get anything in return? Or am I comparing apples and oranges and there is a place for both?
