What do you use it for? I tried it several times, at the times when some pages downloaded slow. It either showed lower speeds (below 200 kbps), or it showed usual speeds (500 kbps). Anyway, what am I supposed to do after I learn my exact speed?

NO, it dos not. It also says tha files cannot be attached. I routinely get 800kbps in NYC, but the actual downloadig of pages has nothing to do with the speeds.

If your modem is "56K", interpret it as "not faster than 56K". The actual trasmissin speed is measured for a given packet, i.e. for a given moment, for a given site, etc.
The actual surfing speed will depend on many factors, but the averages will be higher with the cable, of couse ...

Smaier, in my PC, AnalodxSNL does not show anything. I mean, it shows something as thin green characters on the black backgrond. 1. After I set DefaultRcvWindow 256960, I did not notice anything diffrent in terms of surfing, but it's been 24 hours only... and it' Sunday...
