ADSL or RR Cable

Post by chrisr0 »

Ok guys, I need some help with a decision and some feedback. In about two weeks both DSL and Cable will be available in my area (Shreveport, LA). My choices are: RR Cable or 384kbps a local ADSL provider (ShreveNet). They have the same monthly fee, but if I choose DSL the installation fee is much higher, and I have to buy the router. I'm leaning strongly toward RR Cable, but I am seeking your final words in the decision. Thanks.

You haven't said where you are or who you plan to use for ADSL. These things aren't anything like consistent across the country.

Thanks,

All other things being equal, cable is better. Besides, you do not touch your tel lines and get poential TV cable.

go to www.dslreports.com and see if you can find some reviews/speed reports for YOUR area. That's the ONLY thing that matters.

You need to find out what kind of speeds your get on RR in your city for real users.
