Starting To Get...Scared...

Ok, Earlier Today I recieved my new Linksys NIC 1000TX installed it, and got great speeds with it. Around 4-5mbps from http://www.dslreports.com. Tonight, I test it again and get 500kbps!!! What the hell??
I changed RWIN and got:
Test running..........
** Speed 1698(down)/125(up) kbps **

Maybe you should try a lower RWIN? I use, 280320 and get 4mbps with it...It's a little bit better than all those High RWIN's i used to use..Plus you don't have that much RAM nor a Fast processor to handle the higher RWIN values.

Hope I helped :D

Hehehe..."No workie" :D :D :) ;)

I'm assuming you have the cable nut adjuster program because I don't know how to do this in regedit. If you don't have the cable nut prog, get it here . You have to set Tcp13230pts to "1" to allow for scaling. And BTW, when you install the cablenut software and open adjuster exe, it erases your ...

We need to ask you questions about your system specs, OS ect. Unless you want your computer to crash, which is not really fun at all.....If we give you wrong values there is a possibility of your system crashing, would you like this to happen?

Hmmm...Atleast it works...I don't know about the packet loss though, you should try the ping test at pcpitstop here. COpy & paste your results, nothing should be over 200ms. Someone else might have a better RWIN value for you.

Kastel86 what does the vtcp386 patch do?
The vtcp386 patch lets you change your DefaultRcvValue (RWIN) greater than the one you have set on. Basically, most people think RWINs bigger than that work better. You can find the patch here . Also I would suggest downloading the cablenut program to allow ...

Your RWIN value doesn't look like it was changed by the adjuster. You need the win98 fix which could be found here . It will boost up your RWIN (Default Rcv Value) value to which ever you use with the cable nut program. Restart after each time you change the values. Also if you have @home cable ...
