you had stated earlier that you are using a new nic is it better than 3com? and what type is it? have fried my 3 com so am looking for another. thanx for the help

S/He uses some sort of Linksys NIC and says it's far better than the 3Com..I'm bidding on one now on ebay for $2.00

And I just got outbid cause some ass bought 15 of them for $3.25!!! More hunting for a new NIC..

sorry to hear that, I just paid 20 bucks for a 1 gig and would like to know if it will work in a 500 p3 win98se with a cybersurfer. a friend said 3 mb upside was slower than his 3com905

Me Linksys man now, took 3Com out and Linksy was faster, I got a
