Preventing users from uploading a file

Howdy everyone.

Does anyone know of a way to prevent users from uploading files from a network folder to the internet either with IE or Firefox? I have a folder I need people to still have access to but want to prevent any files from being copied or uploaded to the internet. Thank you.

Each of these particular servers has one two port nic with only one port in use with a static IP. We have one domain, but several IP ranges. This particular one is not included in DHCP. All of our 35 servers are plugged into an HP 5406 core switch.

The servers have the same IPs they have had since their install 5 years ago. Nothing on the domain has ever had these IPs. The IP range they are in is strictly for servers. Nothing else. They are internal IPs and cards with only one IP per server. Thanks for replying. This mystery has been driving ...

Hello everyone

I have two win 2003 servers both with static IPs and both in an IP range that is NOT included in DHCP, but about once a week they both get IP conflicts (at different times). Driving me nuts. Any ideas? Thanks

Hello.

There are two OUs in AD that my helpdesk guys aren't able to administer. They are able to unlock/change passwords on every account except in these two OUs. Any suggestions short of making them domain admins? Many thanks

OK. I figured it out. I ran regmon while trying to do a windows updates and apparently there were some reg entries that the SYSTEM did not have full access to. Once I gave full access, updates worked again. Not sure how these got changed but that seems to have done it.

Windows OS question

Howdy all

I'm thinking about Vista premium home 64 bit for my new machine because I want to drop in 8GB RAM. It's so cheap right now so why not? My question is, if I'm planing on making this a gaming pc, any reason I shouldn't use this OS?

Many thanks

Does the office have a firewall? If it does, most of them come with a VPN gateway built in and all you have to do is set up RAS on the server. After that, he will have all network resources available to him from any internet connection.

You can't just plug in a wireless access device into a printer. It would have to be a wireless print server. Unless your printer has a built in print server, then it might work.
