Every time I restart my computer windows fails to load, it gets to that moving bar window and starts back over. it does this 5-10 before windows loads. there was no hit boxes to shoot each other, only way to kill was with explosions. Also there is no models for the players.

you can create a multiplayer halflife 2 game through console, but i dont' know if anyone can join it. they will probably have a mod out soon where you can play half life 2 multiplayer. need a custom map tho for it. I made a server couldnt do much, it didn't show your hp, ammo etc.

you can play offline, you just need to have your user name and password saved then unplug your internet and then connect to steam.

are 8x speed dvd+r supposed to work in a 4x burner?

i bought some fujifilm 8x dvd+r today and went to try one out in my 4x speed pioneer dvd burner, it went through the burn process sucessfully, but when i tried to read from it windows couldn't read it. said it was in a different format

ya, and i bet thats what was causing that compaq to always go to safemode screen, b/c its the same cpu i put in this new one i built.

im trying to install windows xp on a computer i put together for my dad. everytime i try to install windows xp pro on it, it locks up after it finishes loading the drivers at the beginning of the setup. I have switched out the ram and tried different stick but still does the same thing.

nope cant get into safe mode, when trying to boot with windows xp cd it just stops at starting windows(text at bottom) and wont do anything after that. I took it out and ran virus scan and spyware on it from another computer, it didn't find anything. I'll try switching out the video card later today ...

when I use dvi with my lcd monitor I noticed I dont' have to adjust anything like screen position, brightness, etc the video card does it for you. I havn't tried analog with it yet. I think ill go try it now and let you know if i see a difference

one time with my cable internet it started getting real bad pings, I kept calling cox :) telling them its ****ty and to fix it. They sent some guy over but he didnt' fix it. They finially firgured it out, Everyone was getting routed to one point somewhere down there line and slowing everyone up ...

I haven't really had problems with battlefront other than the multiplayer select server screen, which they fixed now, other than that its a great game. I dont notice a lot of sg'ers playing battlefront on xfire, most still playing bfv or poe

the ati wonder tv card I had, you had to watch tv in a little 640x700 something for it be clear anything over that would become blurry. I took it back to best buy

ok just did a burn, failed... 32% done of 4.3 gigs
buffer was at 93%. that was a 4x speed, im going to try one now at 2x speed.

Recently my DVD burner keeps giving write errors at the same spot on all the disks. About 40% of the way through it gives a write error. This happens about 35% of the time when im burning a DVD.
