Just check the configuration of the card on the notebook and make sure it automatically assigns IP addresses and then when opeing IE just cancel the internet wizard and all should work. This will only work if your router is set for DHCP.

At this point after deleting ZA have you switched the router back to DHCP to see if it was ZA that was causing your original problem?

I agree, the best solution is to set a static IP address on the computer that does not work. Check what IP addresses you can use from your router documentation. Everything should be fine after that.

You should go on the internet and do a search for your router name and model. Then download the documentation so you know how to administer your router and access the manager. You may also be able to update the firmware on the router. The documentation will tell you how to do this.

Under your router manager you should be able to change the lease IP settings. If this does not work, on each machine set the IP address as static within the IP addresses your router will set. You can still leave your router as DHCP.

If this does not work, try checking what permissions you gave the shares. When you say full control the default sometimes might be passworded. Did you put the workgroup name for both computers the same?
