Nope, everything's exactly the same as it was before. I rearranged my room but it's all the same plugsand wires. We have noticed that in the line that comes to a splitter in my room, that there is a humming in the line.

My internet doesn't run off this line so that can't have anything to do with it ...

Please forgive the double post, but I also should add that I scan for spyware and adware and viruses every other day. As well as updating those programs everytime I run them so that is not a problem.

Ok fellas, I also have the Comcast connection just like this guy and Comcast seems to be screwing me just like it was him.

Windows XP, 1 gig processor and 128 megs of ram and an ungodly number of empty space on hard drives.

Well I have changed the 129480 part of the deal, but I am yet to power cycle my modem since there is more than just me on our network....any other suggestions? should I ping myself a few times with the TCPOptimizer and try and find a better RWIN? or just leave it alone til I can recharge the modem ...

I just noticed something. In CAblenut it shows my RWIN to be 256960, in the analyzer report I posted in this thread it shows my RWIN to be 65535. I have installed the patch that is supposed to fix that problem, as advised by speedguide. Wonder what could be causing that?

Are those the same settings that mccoffee or whoever put's out anytime someone talks about Comcast? If so I have tried them and they don't seem to work very well for me. If I seem to have found a fairly decent RWIN already, what is the process for fine tuning it?

Windows 98SE....128 MB's of RAM......333Mhz Pentium 2.......Comcast cable....which their caps are rumored to be 1800/256 on speedguide, but I've seen no official notification from them......I think that's all you sir's and madam's need.....
