How is upgrading a system with a Flash ROM BIOS different than upgrading a system with a standard ROM BIOS?

I had the same thing happen with mine since the hl1.1.9 came out. What i did to fix it was download the FULL version of hl1.1.9 and then reinstall the game

say you have 1.5 megabit dsl or cable connection and the other person is downloading at like 100k/sec that means that you would only be able to download at about 80k/sec max. the rwin can only make your ping higher if you make it low or give you packet loss but the MTU is what can make your ping lower

i think he means up to 180 kilobytes down and just doesnt know the diff between bits and bytes he is right at his cap. Modem- 1500kilobits down is the same as 180kilobytes so you are getting exactly what you are paying for.

you cant go any faster your right at the cap ATTBI caps there service at 1500/128 thats about 190/15 kilobytes of actual TRANSFER speed

for every so many packets downloaded you have to send some so if somebody is taking all your upload you cant send all those packets, then your download slows down so that it has to send less packets so there is no packet loss

yeah, and i called up WOW and the tier 2 tech didnt really do much and said that it could have to do with a bug in IE6 and told me to use 5.5 that doesnt make much sense though because it was working fine until i switched over to cable

IE problems

I just switched to cable 2 days ago from dsl and now most of the websites i try to go to always say PAGE CANNOT BE FOUND but then if i click go like 10 times it will finally go. I havent changed any settings on my end so what could this be? It just started happening when i switched to cable.

bixus- i would set your RWIN higher because only getting 660 down with 1.5mb dsl is way too slow. try setting it to soemthing liek 256960
