IE problems

IE problems

I just switched to cable 2 days ago from dsl and now most of the websites i try to go to always say PAGE CANNOT BE FOUND but then if i click go like 10 times it will finally go. I havent changed any settings on my end so what could this be? It just started happening when i switched to cable.

Are the LAN settings in IE cleared out?

yeah, and i called up WOW and the tier 2 tech didnt really do much and said that it could have to do with a bug in IE6 and told me to use 5.5 that doesnt make much sense though because it was working fine until i switched over to cable

I'd verify your settings (TCP/IP, workgroup, host name, etc.) with your ISP.

Also, if your DSL used PPPoE, uninstall any PPPoE related software, including adapters/protocols.

all the workgroups and stuff is right becuase i havnt changed any of the network stuff and my dsl didnt use PPPoE

Well, some of it had to be changes, as I'm sure your cable ISP and DSL ISP didn't use the same settings. :) Again, I'd just verify all network settings with your provider. Also, you may want to download Netscape and see if it presents the same issue.

Actually I have the same problem....my IE won't work at all. Not that I care, I have no intention of fixing it. Netscape works flawlessly, and I avoid M$ products as much as I can anyway.....
