I have a movie file on my pc that is 2.2 GB. I am unabled to open the file in any of the players I have. I thought perhaps it might be a codec but I have all the latest. this might sound silly but try removing the cpu dusting it off and installing again. I had the same type of problem. Cost me $20 bucks as I watched and that's all the guy did.

Actually I just tried your settings right now on my comp and my DL speeds went from 1550 KBPS tp 490 KBPS. Oh well it was worth a shot. I guess I'll just have to keep playing with RWINS?

Just to see I wanted to test how much of a difference the XP tweaks made on my machine. Not to knock anybody after I removed the tweaks my DL speed test on PCPitstop.com was 600 KB faster. Also tried the test on bandwidthplace.com and it was higher.These were the tweaks I had entered.

Parallel Port Settings

Can anyone explain to me what ECP setting is on a parallel port. By Default my port what set to that mode but my scanner would not work so I had to go into the BIOS and change it to normal. Can anyone explain what that setting is and what are the advantages to it one way or the other?

I don't have a case cooling fan. Wil that realyy make a diffrenece? 52 degrees is the idle temp. Think I should bite the bullet and grab huge fan?

from what i've ehard from lobo and crispy you should not install both patches. You should either install the sg patches or the cablenut patches. Should also delete all tweaks before switching over

If all the talk about the 2600 version of xp is true. What will happen to those people who it installed? When you say it will shutdown what does that mean? A person who has that version with that key installed will no longer be able to boot up. Just trying to get on the same page.

Lobo, I think (i could be wrong) what pirahna is asking is why is it that some values we enter for RWINS that ARE multiples of MSS do not show up as the same RWIN number (when checked in analyzer) that we enetered?
