What am i doing wrong? I upgraded today to an Xp 2400+ processor. And my idle temps are very high 62 degrees with a 30 degree ambient. I reapplied the thermal paste and reseated the heatsink and still no change.

Can somebody please make it clear to me whether the 8K3AE OFFICIALLY supports the 333 Fsb or not.

They all take different fuses. I tried the 500 mA glass fuse but when i measure above 80 ma the accuracy drops a lot, when i tested the circuit before it said 87 mA but now the meter says 80 mA. The 500 mA fuse has a resistance of 2 ohm! I bought 5 of them and they all have a resistance of 2.2 ohm ...

I blew the fuse on my fluke on the light current side it's a ceramic fuse 630ma 250 volt, and i cant find a place where i can buy one close to me, anybody tried replacing it with a normal glass fuse??

I like the testing conditions those guy have setup it is perfect! Just confirmed what everybody said, the coolermaster heatpipe cooler is up there with the big guys, even when i run the fan on 8 V i get great temps

Yeah that's true but
On the other hand the intel machine will keep on running forever, where the amd machine will shutdown if the fan dies, the athlon xp with a mobo that supports temp shutdown is sure to keep ur amd safe.

Mmm what's next a 1000 mhz that has a 3000 rating?? I love AMD all the way but i think they are pushing this rating thingy a little to far. 2500 for a 1833 mhz. The cache doesnt make that big a difference but it's worth noticing

Lol, no dude relax the memory on the graphics card and the memory on the motherboard does not have to be the same at all. The Geforce 2 mx isnt the best out there but u should be able to play newer games at 800*600 no problem especially since u got a 2 Ghz processor.
