when the client connects succesfully, it will change to connected automatically.

Alright, that helps narrow it down sufficiently... tomorrow I'll take a look at the client configurations and make sure I'm not missing anything...

Thanks for the help :)

There is quite an elaborate tutorial in the VP41 manual on how to configure 2K/XP IPSec clients to the VPN. Did you perform all the steps in that tutorial to the letter?

Yes I followed the tutorial. My question would be, in the router, when it says that the VPN tunnel is disconnected, do I have ...

I'm using the windows VPN connection to connect on the clients connecting from the outside. It may have been wrong of me, but I dialed in to AOL from the office just so that we could have a way to test if VPN worked using the external IP once we found out that the server would accept VPN connections ...

Hey everyone,

I need to set up a network so that it can take VPN requests from outside... the problem is I can't seem to get it to pass through. It's a rather small network with several workstations and a server running Win2k server. I am able to access the server via VPN from inside the network ...

Whew, well now that I know that I won't bother to go any further ;)

they believe in jesus too, but not as the son of God.

Jesus is one of those three persons that make up the Christian God. If the muslims do not include him as the son of God, how can both gods be ...

Christians, Muslims and those of the Jewish faith all have roots in the same G_D........

While I can see that the first 5 books of the Bible are used by the Muslims, the core of the Christian faith lies in the Trinity, 1 God in three persons. The muslims worship a god completely different from ...

oh you mean God? u've a right to ur faith but Allah is just the arabic word for God.

Even though the word Allah may translate to god in English, Christians, for example, pray to a different God than do Muslims... so he would be correct in making that distinction

edit: about the Gigabit port, I need it for the file/storage server -- all 10 computers could theoretically be accessing it at once, I didn't mention that in my first post

PCMark 2002 Question...

I was looking at the HDD comparisons after I ran the benchmark on my computer. I found my score, which ranged from 630 - 690, was much much lower than the scores of many other's comps, which were from 3000-5000.

I'm sorta a newbie, but I'm pretty sure I've got all the basics set to max. My HDD is ...

There was a thread about the possibility that Bush can hold people deemed "terrorists" indefinitely. Now it seems to be on its way to becoming a law...?

I am having your exact problem. When I upgraded my router's firmware (Linksys) to the 1.42.x series, I noticed that every few minutes my connection would just freeze (I notice this most with Counterstrike). The freeze would last for a varied amount of time, anywhere from 5 to 15 seconds. After much ...

Go to a command prompt and type "convert c: /FS:NTFS" (where C: is whatever drive letter you want) and follow the instructions on what to do from there.

I'm not sure if it would ...

I downloaded a few demos, but can't seem to get them to play. Which directory do you place them in and which command in the game do you use? (play, playdemo)

You don't have to load the .ccs files and type the entries in all of them, all the .ccs files are are presets that they think work best for the connection specified by the .ccs file. All you have to do is type your RWIN in the box and hit save registry. :)
