Development of recent thread

There was a thread about the possibility that Bush can hold people deemed "terrorists" indefinitely. Now it seems to be on its way to becoming a law...?

No right to a lawyer, no right to a hearing...

What worries me the most about this is that it could spiral into anyone they believe to be conspiring against the United States could be held indefinitely without the right to an attorney. Say somebody's email aroused suspicion by the government that they 'might' be a terrorist, when in reality that's not it at all -- and then they are held without the right to an attorney...

All kinds of possible situations where they got the wrong man.

There are already lots of innocent people in jail doing time.
And they HAD a trial.

We are at war. This is not for people sending e-mails about not liking a politician. This i sfor people waging war against the citizens of te US.

While the thought is disturbing, I doubt seriously that this would affect many innocent people.

This measure it put into place to stop John ****in' Cochrin from making a living gettting Johny Taliban off the hook with BS council.

They are POWs and as such gave up their rights to any luxury that a normal US citizen deserves.
Simply run adaware, spybot, ZoneAlarm, HijackThis, AVG, update windows daily, have a router, don't open e-mail, turn off action scripting, don't use P2P networks, don't violate EULAs, and wear a condom to get Windows secured.

People say Linux is alot of work!
