Youtube has a HTML5 option that works pretty well. I use Avant Browser as an alternative since I can switch between IE/Firefox/Chrome rendering engines if you want to see if it's a browser problem.

Problem solved, turns out starter is a 32-bit only os and I was trying to use my 64-bit disk. Just delete the ei.cfg from the 32-bit and starter comes up now.

It's what came with the netbook. It didn't come with any disk and can't access the recovery partition on a dead drive. Not mine either so not spending >$100 for a new OS.

Anyone knows where I can get a copy of a Windows 7 Starter? I'm replacing a netbook hard drive. Used the delete ei.cfg from my retail Pro disk but can only get home basic as the lowest windows.

Check the temps on the card? I'd also say swap the card to see if that's the problem. As for the sound I would just get a cheap sound card if you can fix the other things.
