What options do I have?
I currently have Cable. 2mbps down 320kbps up. I run a web server which host web sites. I plan to turn this into a buisness. But my cable company limits me to 2gigs a month upload max. I can't get DSL where I am. What other options do I have? T1 would be great, but it is very expensive (how much ...

Hardware or software firewall solution?
I'm running web/exchange server. Windows 2000 server, Exchange 2000 server, SQL server 7.0. I have resently had some DoS attacks that lasted 3-4days. What would be my best and cheapest option for a firewall? The server is behind a Netgear RT314.

Do I need a fire wall?
I'm running web server behind a Netgear RT314 router. Do I need a software firewall? I have been getting DoS attacks (at least I think) and was wondering if a software firewall would do me any good. I've only got port 80, 21, 25, and 3389 that is fowarded to my webserver. It really makes me mad, not ...

Netgear router. Web sever, ftp server, exchange server.
Ok so I went out and bought a netgear rt314 router to replace my linksys router. Now my web site works. I had to edit the filter. But only for the outside. Anyone know why when I type www.whatever.com it comes up and promots for the router's password (but only for the internal computers. This is a ...

dslreports.com is inaccurate!
It says my download speed is 298kbps. But I get 100KB/sec+ on 80% of the download servers out there. So that would be 800kbps. If it was truely accurate it would say 800. But I have never seen it give me a higher result then 450. and the avrage is 300. The upload test is almost always right.

Two web servers, Primary and back up.
How would I go about setting these up so that if the primary goes down then the back up server will automatically pick up, and that every file that is created on the primary server gets duplicated on the back up server?
