Just a quick note, there are alot of posts in this forum where people are having problems with DSL. I have been fixing DSL issues for Bell Canada now for more than 6 years. 9 out of 10 troubles I have been on have been caused by either:
1. Not filtering Sets, Fax Machines or Satellite Recieviers.

Make sure everything you have plugged into a phone jack has a filter on it except the modem. A defective set or CPE may and will cause a drop in speed, also a line fault with also affect your bandwidth. Distance from the C.O. greater than 4.7km can affect speed unless that distance is shortened by a ...

BF2 and Router Ports
I was just wondering if anyone here has had to open the ports on thier routers, in the list that came with the BF2 booklet on page 19?
I haven't changed anything in my settings and it seems to work fine?

I have seen this noise problem before on certain sets even though the sets are individually filtered. Some people have had luck double filtering these sets but for the most part if the set is sensitive to DSL noise then you should try another set. I have seen people with up to 4 filters on one phone ...
