D-Link debuts new router for small businesses

D-Link has launched a new Wi-Fi router designed for small and medium businesses. The D-Link DSR-500N Wireless N Router offers 802.11n Wi-Fi networking as well four Gigabit Ethernet ports.

A statement from D-Link spruiked the new router's security credentials, including support for up to 35 simultaneous VPN tunnels using IPSec, PPTP or L2TP.

"D-Link's latest Wireless N Router with SSL VPN is designed for small to medium businesses looking for a high-performance wireless networking solution with secure remote access," said Maurice Famularo, D-Link Australia and New New Zealand marketing director.

The router also has a USB port and an internal power supply, as well as dual Gigabit WAN ports that support load balancing and failover. The D-Link DSR-500N Wireless N Router is available for recommended retail price of $465 (including GST).
