Post by UnderpantsGnome »

I cant find the answers to these questions, can somebody help me out

How is upgrading a system with a Flash ROM BIOS different than upgrading a system with a standard ROM BIOS?

In AT architecture PC-compatible computer has some standards. Name four of them?

for the bios i think with the standard kind you have to tell it about every new device or tell it to lookfor it. Flash is like plug and play auto matic.

A flash upgrade overwrites the original eaprom. A standard upgrade replaces the chip i would guess.

ISA?

IDE?

Comm Ports?

Lpt Port?
