just look around for different servers in these other countries.. You might be able to increase your speed package too.

What kinda of broadband are you on?

If your service is ADSL2+, that may mean your speed will be 10 mbps or more, depending on your distance to your ISP central switch station.

Try these settings with TCP Optimizer to optimize your connection:

General Settings tab:
Custom settings - check
Modify All Network Adapters - check
network adapter selection - your NIC
MTU - 1492
TTL - 64
TCP Receive Window - 511104
MTU Discovery - Yes
Black Hole Detect - No
Selective Acks - Yes
Max Duplicate ACKs - 2
TCP 1323 Options:
Windows Scaling - checked
Timestamps - uncheck

Advanced Settings tab:
Max Connections per Server - 10
Max Connections per 1.0 Server - 20
LocalPriority - 1
Host Priority - 1
DNSPriority - 1
NetbtPriority - 1
Lan Browsing speedup - optimized
QoS: NonBestEffortLimit - 0
ToS: DisableUserTOSSetting - 0
ToS: DefaultTOSValue - 136
MaxNegativeCacheTtl - 0
NetFailureCacheTime - 0
NegativeSOACache Time - 0
LAN Request Buffer Size - 32768
Then select "Apply Changes" and reboot to take effect

here i done another analyzer test

Post by jorg2007 »

done another test after what you told me to do with the optimizer but i couldnt find the network adapter selection - your NIC bit where you said or what does it mean and has it made any difference i also noticed a connection speed slider bar do i have to adjust that to its currently set at 2000kbps thanks « SpeedGuide.net TCP Analyzer Results »

Settings looks right. MTU is at 1492 and RWIN is at 511104. This tweak will not lower your ping but will improve your speed to overseas servers.

The slider bar is for use with 'Optimal setting'. You do not need to use it. Just use 'Custom setting' and follow the values I have given.

Just had a look in my network settings status in the cotrol panel under network connections it says 100.0mbps also someone was saying you can also reduce the ping by reducing the packet size or net speed do you know how this is done .i just need to drop it another 40ms.

The 100 mbps setting of your network adapter card is to fit the ADSL2+ line which has a speed greater than 10 mbps.

Try these settings with TCP Optimizer for a slightly small packet size:

General Settings tab:
Custom settings - check
Modify All Network Adapters - check
network adapter selection - your NIC
MTU - 1454
TTL - 64
TCP Receive Window - 520352
MTU Discovery - Yes
Black Hole Detect - No
Selective Acks - Yes
Max Duplicate ACKs - 2
TCP 1323 Options:
Windows Scaling - checked
Timestamps - uncheck

Advanced Settings tab:
Max Connections per Server - 10
Max Connections per 1.0 Server - 20
LocalPriority - 1
Host Priority - 1
DNSPriority - 1
NetbtPriority - 1
Lan Browsing speedup - optimized
QoS: NonBestEffortLimit - 0
ToS: DisableUserTOSSetting - 0
ToS: DefaultTOSValue - 136
MaxNegativeCacheTtl - 0
NetFailureCacheTime - 0
NegativeSOACache Time - 0
LAN Request Buffer Size - 32768
Then select "Apply Changes" and reboot to take effect
