yep your command line is correct iwas having the same CTD issue until i went to
"my docs/bf2/mods/bf2/cache" and deleted everything in that ...

Does it play simular to CS-S? Because that game drove me nuts. I would shoot at people and they would just turn around and kill me with one or two hits. If this game is like that (looked a bit like it form the movie) then i don't think ill bother with the money...

have you tried memtest to check your ram.....i had problems just like that from b42 to bfv.....one day a guy from here suggested memtest86 and it turns out that it was a bad stick of ram from the very beginning....just a thought
