Ok MSN disconnects when AIM disconnects so it cant be just AIM it must be something w/ my router... can someone help me?

Also AIM says that I lost my connection to AIM alerts like right after I sign back on from being kicked.

I think the problems started like right after I upgraded the firmware. also when AIM disconnects so does MSN and Yahoo. So that means it's not just AIM.

Yeah I have all the Windows Updates and I dont think that it's AIM because AIM never did that until I got the router.

Well.. I updated to Windows XP a while back like in January.

This is the first time this has ever happened.. and I have 384 RAM and the event log doesn't show anything it's like it doesn't do a memory dump. It's a gateway computer I upgraded from Windows 98 SE.. and I don't know what you mean by power supply.

Yeah.. I got a bsod and it was screwed up because it was telling me that the system halted and something about memory.. I didn't write it down sorry.. and When I pressed the power button to try and reset my PC... it didn't work I had unplug and replug..

Well it looks like the problem is fixed. She just needed to be logged in as an account without parental controls.

But I have another friend w/ aol and msn messenger and they can log in fine.

I do know that if you have parental controls on it blocks msn messenger from starting. But my friend doesn't have parental controls on so I don't know what else it could be.

My friend has AOL RoadRunner and for some reason MSN Messenger says that it doesn't see an internet connection
She uses Windows 98SE
