HP Scanjet 4p and Windows XP Home

I was wondering if this scanner is compatible with Windows XP Home. It's an older model so that's why I'm wondering whether it's compatible with XP. Also does Windows XP come with scanning software already, so I don't have to install other scanning software

It appears to work according to HP, look here for XP drivers. :)
