My wireless router is currently downstairs on the other side of the house. I would like to be able to get a stronger connection upstairs as well. Would getting a wireless router instead of a switch be a good idea?

I noticed my internet speeds on my PC were slower than the other computers in the house, including my laptop that's wireless.
