well you cant tell me how long it would take to dl a 10 mb file not even who,s patch to put in well this is my conclusion about this site the analizer ... when using the analizer no matter what your patch it all ways reccomends three sets of numbers which you could change ie..the defaultrcvwindow no ...

also if my cable 512k connection was fully optimised what sort of time would it take to download a 10mb file?

lo again what i want to know is, the defaultrcvwindow does the value that you put in there does it depend on the connection speed ie...512k so if you have say you connection was cable 300k you would put in a lower defaultrcvwindow than say a 512k cable connection if you understand that?????????am i ...

hi m8 i have been informed by my cable provider that my connection is 512k also i have learned through other sources that it is capped at 600kdown and 128k up therefore can you tell me if these settings are ok and is there anything i can do to optimise my connection? thankyou.

look i deleted all the reg values through cablenut ithen rebooted i then installed your sguide_tweak_98.inf and rebooted again now i have just used your analizer and these are the results can you please answer this post it,s the last just give me some good values to try in the defaultrcvwindow ...

i havejust tested my connection at several uk sites through the mlink you pasted on that thread page 4 results at differant sites each time i tested i cleared my history and cookies test 1large graphic 470kbytes my throughput 71340cps
test 2 your internet speed at the moment is 11961 bytes per ...

i have tested several sites against my speed ...one loaded 2,031 k bytes in 2.91 secs my throughput is 5720 ....this seems to be even worse can you help i,m somewhat confused now?

hi m8 im using windows 98 oem with all relevent updates from microsoft and i put the cablenut cable fast patch in but i altered my DefaultRcvWindow to a setting i just came across have i done the wrong thing? thanx for replying to my thread TriDenT$@L
