Thanks cyberskye. I found that same information on the Microsoft Web Site. That's hard to believe. I have only had 1 mouse on this computer since I installed XP Pro about 7 months ago. One thing I did discover. I was going to check for multiple device entries in the device manager in Safe Mode ...

Thanks Technoid, I checked out the event log. Nothing unusual that I could see. There was one error about my Parallel Port being disabled. I don't use it, so I disabled it in the Bios.

The "Blue Screen" I get gives me this information:

Error: NO_MORE_IRP_STACK_LOCATIONS

Stop: 0x00000035 ...

Home Network Problem

OK, this has been going on for some time, so I don't remember exactly when it started. I have a small home network with 3 Win98SE machines and 1 WinXP Pro machine. All are connected through a D-Link hub, then to a Linksys Router and then to a cable modem. Everything works just fine except that every ...

cranegrad, have you set up a shared drive or folder on each computer? See CalMcGregor's item 6 in his 5th post. It's a simple thing, but easly overlooked.

Kip, thanks! I guess I probably knew that, but just needed to vent a little. Please feel free to delete this post. It doesn't really contribute anything to this Forum. I just get a little frustrated trying to keep up with this networking stuff, especially since it seems to be changing a lot at the ...

Inconsistant Service

I have Comcast Cable Service and have had it for almost 2 years. Most of the time I am satisfied with their service. However, since the changeover my service has been very inconsistant. I'm guessing most everyone else has about the same story. Does anyone have any idea how long this rollercoaster ...

And you think Comcast is ripping you off. Look as these numbers. And the first test was even worse. I forgot to copy it. I use to have great speed until Comcrap took over. I just might go back to dialup if this continues. It's the only other choice I have. No DSL in this area.

Your raw speed was ...

OK, it works just like setting up any e-mail account. Once you get your new password just create a new e-mail account and use the info Mike_W and j3rseyBoy posted. That's all I did and it works just fine. You don't need to install the software Comcast says. I just talked to one of the Comcast ...

Ryan, I'm going to sit right here until someone answers your question. Because I'm in the same boat as you and want to know if I have to install this 13.1mb file I just downloaded from Comcast. Or can I set this up without this crap. Thanks for asking the question. Hope we get an answer soon.

Different Numbers

 Ok, here's my problem. I have 2 computers connected to the internet behind a Linksys Router. My ISP is @Home. Both PC's are PIII 800, loaded with Win98se, and at least 320 meg of RAM. I have installed the cablenut program on both and selected the "cable_router_9x.css" file. Saved to ...

Hey RayRay check out this thread. I think this will answer your problem. I had the same thing with @home and my linksys router. It's pretty easy to fix.

Hey cruz,

I'm new here but had the same problem you are having with @home e-mail service.

Start DOS and type: "ping mail" with out the quotes. You will get a response back giving the full path to your mail server. Write it down and type it in Account "mail properties". Here is a link to another ...
