Well i downloaded the normal window vista updates today and since then my headset has not been working. Ive even tried to un/reinstall the lifechat program it came with and nothing. Its not my USB port because my ipod works just fine on it. If anyone could give some more help that would be great!

honestly i think its my cd rom. it has to be. it will read most if not all cd's but its frozen up on about three cd's

no its not even the programs. as soon as i stick the cd in it locks up my computer

yea these are regular music cd's not burned ones. and i have an hp a1700n. if that helps.

just music cd's it doesnt matter i was wondering if you could tell me what is causing it.

Ok so Ive noticed on a couple of cd's ive put into my computer to import them. My computer will literally lock up. Even if i restart it will just get to a black screen with a text thing in the corner.

But when i take out the cd everything is back to normal? Anyone know what this is caused by ...

Ok so i just bought civilazation 3 yesterday on a whim. I heard its a great game and thought id give a a chance.

anyways. I make a city right off the start. and then move some guys around and it says GAME OVER all of sudden? whats up with that?

Hey i recently got a copy of Soldier of Fortune 2 and trying to update punkbuster from evenbalance.com i put it in the pb/htm folder and still i get kicked from servers for it not being up to date?

I have vista if that makes a difference so if anyone knows what to do please reply

Ok so about the one time basis thing does that mean i can only go from vista to xp once or just that I can make the disc once. Cause im just gonna order the reboot discs from HP

Yes thats my computer. I am probably just gonna order the recovery discs it'll be a lot easier. So then after i get those can i just buy the upgrade addition of XP or do I have to buy the $200 one?

And my friend can help me with the driver situation.
