I've been using the flagships from Google. My last pixel was 5 years in and I got a forced software update that kneecapped the battery life (on purpose).
I got a Pixel 8 pro to replace it. I've found running a generation or two behind the edge has suited my needs (I am becoming elderly).

Haven't been around much and just saw this. I am very sorry to hear of our loss. I can attest that MS is a crappy disease. I lost my wife two years ago after a hard fought struggle with her MS and brain cancer, which was likely related to the MS. Prayers to the family!!
