I have the same problem,i start my PC and Kaspersky did not start until 12 or 15 seconds later,i think the anti virus is great,it only need more polish but overall its ok.

It's not hardware related to your system, it's the broadband connection...especially if you have a router. Those torrent softwares will usually overwhelm a home grade broadband router with connections. Do you have one in place?
