The 5821F is a VoIP telephone adapter with 2 FXS phone ports that allow two VoIP channels, and a single 10/100Base-T Ethernet port. This adapter supports a variety of VoIP features, such as call waiting, caller ID, call transfer and distinctive ring. It can be configured remotely using a TFTP or HTTP download from the service provider and updates to the firmware can be automatically delivered. Up to five and often more attached phones can be rung simultaneously on each FXS port using the built-in ring generator.
