The WCG200 is a combination of a cable modem, internet-sharing router, four-port switch, and wireless access point. The cable modem is DOCSIS 1.0/2.0 compliant.

The integrated access point complies with the IEEE 802.11b/g standards with wireless transmission speeds of up to 54Mbps. It supports WEP and WPA/WPA2 wireless encryption.

The router supports VPN pass-through for IPSec, L2TP and PPTP. A built-in SPI provides a reliable protection against Denial of Service (DoS) attacks.

Its not firmware upgradeable by the user/owner. Only by cable company. Good luck with that.

Works ok when it works. Frequently drops connection requireing a manual shut down/restart. Comcast claims they no longer support this model & will not do a firmware update. (Chicago Area)

The inital setup was weird because of my having two different routers but other then that it is exelent. got it for $20 off a garage sale. lol.
