This wireless bridge provides dual band concurrent wireless with 300Mbps at 2.4 GHz and 600Mbps at 5 GHz, allowing you to stream multiple films, music, photos and data throughout your home at the same time. It features 1-4 Gb Ethernet LAN/ 1 Gb Ethernet WAN (RJ45) ports.
With this device you can connect any wireless client with WPS support by just pushing AirTouch button.
Auto Mesh increases the efficiency of air time and is particularly beneficial for real time wireless video distribution. It utilizes "per-packet" routing via the most direct path from "server" (which may be the Internet or another mesh point such as a set-top box) to each client. In this way, the wireless network map is completely fluid and flexible, never using potentially wasteful static routes.
The Air 4742 possesses all the features necessary for an IPTV application. It supports VLANs to separate IPTV and data traffic. For cases where a single VLAN is used for more than one type of service, the IP QoS feature prioritizes data packets and reserve bandwidth based on traffic type to deliver high-quality, non-delayed content.
