Paypal website is experiencing some problems that are resulting in customers' payments being taken multiple times but not paid.

The problems seem to have started around 24 hours ago, and businesses and customers took to Twitter to express their frustration at PayPal. This morning Paypal apologised to its users for the inconvenience, responding to complaints via Twitter by acknowledging its website issues and saying that it is "working to get this resolved" and will "update ASAP". Meanwhile, many users complained that PayPal customer service support hasn't been of any help either, with a 140 minute wait for some users calling to get information as to why the service has failed them.
