Microsoft has released an emergency security patch for all versions of Windows, fixing a critical flaw that allows remote access and code execution.

The vulnerability (MS15-078) concerns the Windows Adobe Type Manager Library, and can be exploited by attackers to hijack PCs, infect them with malware, and so on.

"This security update resolves a vulnerability in Microsoft Windows. The vulnerability could allow remote code execution if a user opens a specially crafted document or visits an untrusted webpage that contains embedded OpenType fonts," Microsoft's advisory reads.

The patch is available over Windows Update.
