Apple's latest version of its operating software, called the iOS4, is reportedly leading to dropped Blutooth connections on the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 3GS devices, according to several user posts on various online forums. The Bluetooth connection on the phones with iOS4 are said to get cut off automatically while pairing with headsets and in-car systems.

Users say that the connection is terminated suddenly between two properly paired devices and in some cases, the connection does not drop, but users receive a “no media found” message while attempting to play music. The quality of sound, while talking into a headset paired with the phone using Bluetooth, has also been reported to be inferior.

Users have posted on forums that they downloaded and installed a new copy of iOS4 when they experienced dropped connections, but it did not solve the problem. AppleCare has also been said to turn a deaf ear to user’s complaints and have refused to replace the device.
