Sorry man, when I try to run it a black screen comes up like its gunna start, the music starts up, but then it just minimizes. Nothing happens after that. I tried it a couple HUNDRED times but still nothin. I'll just wait till fix or the full game comes out (is it out?).

Optking...you have a firewall running at the same time as the game starts? I have mine running when I first started up the game and had the exact same thing. I rebooted, turned off the firewall and game runs great!

BTW, Full game doesnt come out unit Feb '03 or around in that time frame.

I'm sure they will have a patch out for it soon for some of the bugs in it already.

At first I hated the game, now I love it.

To those with black screen problems, try these, some may sound stupid though:

1)Turn off your firewall
2)When you get the black screen wait about 2 minutes
3)When you get the black screen hit space
4) This one sounds dumb but, Highlight the RS Icon, and dont click it with the mouse, hit the enter button and dont touch anything.

I gas anywhere I think there's possible enemy.. if I hear cough.. aha! hehe..

I always wear a mask.. and yes.. the bang and mask stuff sure is cool!

weak tho.. aiming is not solid either..

Yeah, Immy.....the aiming does suck....hehe You can forget about running and shooting at the same time, it's impossible.

But still, pretty good so far. Now I REALLY cant wait until the 'real' game comes out!

can't wait to do coop mission.. I really really really hate the aiming..

I sneak up behind a guy.. but I'm running straight up behind him.. he don't know.. I fire.. it misses!?? it's like 2 foot a way.. he turns and sprays and got me... bulllllcrrraaap

EXACT samething happened to me also. A guy was on some stairs, crouched. I see him and start shooting at him running towards him from about 10 feet away and go though the whole clip and didnt even hit the guy once.

When that round was over, I even asked him if I hit him or not and he said "no".

Have an Idea......Do you all use Ubi.com to find games? If you do, let's put our Ubi names down and then we can find each other and play a few.

I think we were playing together the other night.

The aiming seems fine for me.....wondering if you guys are playing on some bad servers.

I was having problems shooting on some servers but even running around was choppy.

I ping 50 in their servers.. it's just their aiming system.. it's almost the same in ghostrecon.. that's the main reason I didn't buy that game..

Stu..... Like Immy said, the game is a cross between Ghost Recon and Rogue Spear....but more like Ghost. Ghost is easier to play, the movements are easier....harder in this one. AND it still takes me a whole mag to kill a guy and I get picked off by a single bullet most of the times....very frustrating.

I wish there were some coop missions we could play.

I pulled it from fileplanet a couple of days ago, installed it and then tried running it.. it then gives me an error about a missing dll

I re-downloaded it, but w/the same result...

A friend of mine d/l it also and got the same error, ...maybe i shouldn't pull from fileplanet?.. hehe..

I got it from fileplanet and works fine..

dunno.. there are known errors with this demo.. but missin dll.. hmm

What's the .dll? Maybe I have it somewhere in the main directory of Raven Shield.

I downloaded mine from Fileshack and it runs fine here.

okie, i get this error.. (kinda long, hehe):

In program files\red storm\raven shield\system.....

Are you showing WinDrv.dll and WinDrv.int files?

I did a 'search' for DINPUT6.dll on my system and found 4 files.

In C:\WINNT\System32.
and
C:\WINNT\ServicePackFiles\i386

(and 2 more in RollerCoaster Tycoon 2...but those 2 aren't your prob)

Do a search and see what you come up with. Im not sure what exactly what it could be....DirectX prob, Just that Raven Shield doesnt work right on your OS, missing file, who knows.

I wouldn't really worry about it if everything else runs great on your system. For a demo that has a lot of bugs and (knock on wood) Hopefully, they will come out with a patch for this demo. After all, the 'real' game doesnt come out for a few months at the earliest.

yes i have both windrv files...did a search for "DINPUT6.dll" and come up w/nothing..

I'm not too worried, everything else runs fine, just thought i would give it a go, looked pretty good..
oh well, maybe a patch will come out soon, thx for the replies

That game is pretty fun, doesn't run well on my pc so half the time I don't know how the hell I died. My fav weaps are definatly: MP5+scope, or M16-A1+scope(single) Yes, burst may be better to kill someone in 1 barrage, but I find single overall more accurate and you have more freedom when firing.
